entirely accurate. By extension, the die-hard mentality of some
towards double blind testing in a field that has not been sufficiently
prepared for it is not always justified.

SB3 was somewhat fatiguing to listen to due to unrefined/harsh highs.
That seems to have resolved with the Transporter.
What subjective differences did you note between the SB3 and
Transporter?

In conclusion, I believe the original post was a valid question about
my experiences A/B'ing the TP and SB3. I was simply asking questions
to refine my testing so that I could assess the two devices. Thus far,
the majority of
RCA and the
other using balanced XLR. In any case, volumes are now absolutely
equal...
Not much difference between the Transporter and SB3. Out of
curiousity, what are the differences others have noted between these
two in a true A/B compa

other factors being identical?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into the options. The easiest
option might be to buy the Elpac with the DIN connector and look for
some kind of a plug adapter to make it compatible with the Squeezebox
power input socket.
