Right, on the 3.6Rs, the main crossover is external, and bi-amping
pretty easy to do (and in fact it seems to be designed for that
purpose).
Not sure about tri-amping though.

Personally, I'm quite happy running my SB2 into a Benchmark 1.
Anything capable of beating it would probably be pretty expensive, and
I seriously doubt I'd drop the $$ on those kinds of diminishing
returns.

Anybody who's looking for an inexpensive, convenient solution should
really check this out first. I stick my Behringer between the digital
outs of the Squeezebox and the digital inputs of a Benchmark DAC1.
It's all digital, and it sounds awesome.

standpoint, a non-neglible source of jitter. Whether your average Joe
can tell the difference compared to a $100 CD-plyaer is another issue -
but it is at least measureable.
In any case, it sounds damned well good enough for me, at the moment

professor used to argue that if you look at the frequency spectrum of
rock and roll, it looks a lot more like noise than classical mu
e punches me in the face and
