Yes.
According to Sean Adams, the designer of these boxes, 100% variable and
100% fixed is identical. No difference in how the signal is processed.

DVDAExplorer can rip the lossless MLP files, downmix to stereo, and save
as a 24/96 wav or flac file all in one go.
DSOTM DVD-A sounds fantastic through the transporter done this way.

I never use it anyw

Not that this is what you are asking for, but I would think that
writing a simple plugin that uses SoX for upsampling should be
possible.

I agree, it is confusing when wanting to have different configurations

I have also experienced freezing of my transporter a couple of times.
Needed to unplug the power cable to reset it,.
I am using fw 31 with ss 6.5.5.

Exactly, but the Pace-Car does not.
Empirical audio clearly demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the SB
which does not give me much confidence in their product.

That pretty much makes this thing useless IMO.
A growing proportion of my music library is now 48kHz and 24 bits.

Isn't the Shek on of those NOS type TDA1543 based dacs?
In that case it is probably 16 bit 44.1kHz only.

Why bother replying when you have nothing useful to contr
. Although the DC
voltage is OK, the AC voltage most probably is not.
Now I don't know if the Amiga power supply is the same as the C64 one,
but I would check carefully before connecting it to the SB3.

Ron, good work, seems you are on the right track.
Youre just doing low pass filtering, right?
So the stream will still be 96 khz?
Would it be possible to add a "-r 48000" argument to do resampling as
well?

SB3 itself, it seems the
next best thing would be to implement the 96 to 48 conversion in
slimserver with proper filtering included, before streaming to SB3.
So what do you think?

you use for your flac to wav conversion?
As i said earlier using flac 1.1.3 with the flac frontend GUI with
"Decode through errors" option checked worked for me.
