I use the A2s as computer monitors and am very pleased with the sound.
Position is very important however - the tweeters seem quite
directional, at least for near-field listening. I finally ordered the
Audioengine angled bases for the A2s in order to aim them more ideally.

handle 15,000 tracks without a hiccough. All you need is a quiet
external hard drive (or keep it all in a closet).
On the other hand, the Zalman is certainly over-engineered enough to
match the battleship-like cases of a lot of audio gear...
