I have Just purchased a used Benchmark DAC1 and a Touch to powered
Active Studio Monitors for my little office setup. Do you use the
variable output of the balanced XLR outputs ?? Or do you use fixed
output and use SB to
control volume ??

I use my Transporter in a Digital loop with my Tact RCS 2.2.x and it
Works fine. The Tact is used for roomcorrection and volume adjustment
and then send to Transporter DAC.
Have you set The DEQ2496 as Master in

Tact) lights up all the time. It does not when you turn it Down.
What I mean by "just a number" is that a high DR number is NOT equal to
good soundquality. This is a big missunderstanding.

The DR numbers really don't say very much about the soundquality. I have
albums with low numbers that sounds better than albums with high
numbers.
So it is really just a number. But it confirms the loudness war. No
doubt there.

and the back to FLAC with max compression level 5. Then it work without

the bug is solved with an official release. Just to warn you. If your
kids turns on your system, and they not know about this... then
you might come home and find your speakers lying on the floor My
kids did, but my Martin Logans survived... :)

OK interessting. I have just one doubt regarding the upsampling. I
am running my Squeezebox server on a ReadyNas Duo, and I don't think it
has got the power to upsample to 24/96 on the fly :(

I-tunes. I have not tried that because I am not
using I-tunes. So if more people write to them, maybe we can get a
squeezecenter version too...:)

course it can not make high end recordings out of crap, but it does
indeed improove the sound quality of many of the too high mastered CD's.
The low price in mind, it is the best tweek/value for money I ever
made. But try it yourself and let your EARS be the judge, and not all
forms o
take the Transporter's digital out, feed it to TacT for room
