before shipping them, because as mentioned above anything that is likely
to go 'bang' will do so in that period. As to any 'burn-in' period for a
purely electronic device 'improving' the sound - nonsense (IMHO)

Some 'isolation platforms' make a substantial difference, some do
nothing at all.
