Yes, quite correct, it is the 50 ohm type which has the fatter pin.I
well remember being told off by more experienced colleagues years ago
for putting 50 ohm leads on to oscilloscope inputs ( always 75 ohm )
compared with RF signal generators etc which were generally 50 ohm.

Yes, all very interesting and thought provoking.
I have found a UK company who would rent a DAC1 for 50GBP/day so maybe
I will try this, also the old Marantz CD65-DX has a coax digital output
so it would be fun to try this in circuit as well.
