st wanted the Touch to do better volume without the fuzz of volume max
settings etc. And working with the standard remote and web interface.
That would have been nice. Personally I don't need/want SRC.

Would it be possible to add a dithered volume control in the client SW?

ed of as the current consumption is
reduced by 50% (to 0,3A). What I find is that upping te voltage again
does not retain display function but the unit has to be swithed on and
off by pulling the DC plug.

You can rule out:
5) Using Wifi instead of wired (e-net wires have tons of nasty stuff on
them).
as there is no exctraction of anytiming info from ethernet. Then of
cource there could be other electrical aspects of ethernet but as it is
transformer coupled, these shuld be small.

That may be OK on an audio output but how about a s/pdif output?

Or maybe there is a transformer on the ethernet input?

hign end gear?
Just wanted to share this as this really brings the prodct to a whoe
new level for a very small investment! I migth try a linear 5v supply
if I find one ;-) but thats it (probably.)

seanadams - thanks for the reply!
In this case I was a co-developer of the DAC in questions. It is a R/C
link switched in - trust me ;-)
To be more exact - it is this product:

It's a pity because its a very good concept - som of my best sounding
cds has PE.
Well, I have to mod my DA so that I can flip a switch instead ;-)

hmm - sad. When did it go obsolete - it's still in the spec or? btw -
the most audiophile way is to do it analog ;-)

Hi!
Will SB3 set the de-emphasis bit so that my external DAC, which works
OK today using a sony as drive, engage de-emphasis properly according
to the s/pdif standard?
