Now i've tried the A500 PSU with the Squeezebox, and i think the sound
is better with the stock PSU - i just sounds more "closed" and
uninteresting with the A500 PSU, i was expecting the opposite

and going to some store to buy a DC connector and mounting it.
And, if anybody could tell about their bad experiences with this
particular PSU, it'd also be helpful to keep me from eventually wasting
time...

Are there any easy ways to determine if a PSU makes noise, without
expensive equipment as oscilloscopes etc?

I've read in another thread that the SB output can be up to 1.8volt, so
