I found removing the NAIM 82/SC allowed the Bel Canto amps to perform
more to my taste. Together, they were not a good match. The DAC3 into
the ref1000's is very nice.
My favoured setup is Apple lossless via itunes, powerbook to DAC3 via
USB as it sounds great and I have the cov

worth giving the Transporter a listen too. Good luck with your search.

Bel Canto DAC3 into Bel Canto amps is a great combo IMHO. Lots of
inputs, including USB which I think is the best I've heard with digital
(connected to a laptop + itunes).

They also have their own record label and produce a wide range of
interesting music. These people really do enjoy what they do.

What I love about this review is that in the summary every category gets
5/5 except one (7 categories) and then at the end the value (taking into
account all the previous scores) is 3.5? Someone can't do math!

Seconded. Not using TP, but DAC3 into ref1000's. Stunning.
itunes relies on Quicktime and quicktime lacks FLAC support, unless of
course you install it:

Good advice. Get some Chord Cobra3 cables (RCA --> DIN) or some
MoonAudio Black Dragons (my choice).
Yes. I have digital mods performed by Bolder. I think it's a great
upgrade to a stock SB3, which is already very good. The difference is
not subtle!

Bel Canto e.one DAC3 is a very impressive DAC to my ears (but not
cheap). I use it with USB from itunes/powerbook and SB3 (Bolder mod)
and is by far the best digital I have ever heard in my system.

Ack! Dack 2 is a very good DAC for the money and may also tickle your
sonic palette. Excellent with Bolder modified SB3.

Really? I didn't get that impression. No wonder I failed English lit.

Exactly.
I use 82/SC/250. Sounds pretty good with SB3/Bolder mods.

People could get the new stuff from Bel Canto to demo for 15 days,
decide they like it, send it back to Bel Canto and buy it else where
much cheaper.

Just to update. I did finally receive a response (co-incidence?) I will
not post a private message here, but I can say that they did explain
their perspective regarding the offer quite clearly. My opinion:
Contact Bel Canto directly and get your questions answered .

I emailed Bel Canto twice regarding the 'in home' demo and questioned
them about the particulars of the 'no risk' policy (Dec / Jan). I never
received a response to any of my questions. Shame, as I liked the
products I was interested in 'on
I looked at the 'no risk' home demo policy from Bel Canto in December
and did read about the 5% re-stocking fee and decided that it wasn't a
'no risk' policy. Therefore, no demo, no sale.
IMHO, it is quite a badly conceived bit of adve

Not too shabby.
I'm not sleeping (yet).
