t the prep.log file it indicated that the distance and timing
for the right file were both 0. I opened that sweep file in Audacity
and it looks fine, not much different than the left file (which showed
valid numbers in the log file). Anybody know what gives?

Nice to see this is working. I'd be curious to know how you think the
17-band EQ sounds compared to Minimum. It looks like Minimum provides a
somewhat flatter response across the mid-band.

crossover possibly being an issue. You might want to let that run out a
bit higher in frequency (if possible) and let the DRC handle clearing up
the mids. If you have any luck with that, I think finding the right
target curve will get you a pretty decent correction.

Ah. I didn't do that. The instructions said to just FF to the next
track. Although at one point I did try stopping and restarting
Slimserver, but I did not kill the inguz process.

This sounds like a great question for Hugh. If you're right it throws a
real monkey wrench in trying to help learn what's really going on by

s internal mic cal file, would you? If DRC is generating
these impulse files with its own mic calibration file accounted for,
you'd want to see that direct information in REQW. If there was a way
to even view it with REQW's own cal file you'd be doing double

1/6 under Smoothing. It'll make you feel a lot better. :-) Then go to
the Averaging panel and average the two channels.
The Filtered measurement is close, but I always try to compare it to
the REQW met
t with 1/6 octave smoothing. I don't
know how useful it is to look at these things at 1/24 octave.

Test_Convolution file with Flatness set to 5 and it sounded closer to
the non-eq'd version (I think, I was getting a little loopy at that
point).
I will say that in all cases of using correction the soundstage of the
presentation was much more apparent.

I had not yet to this point tried the "Flatness" setting. Will be sure
to give it a try. Your point about flat response and higher frequencies
is well taken; that's consistent with what I think I'm hearing.
