Naming the format 'DVD-Audio' wasn't one of the brightest things done by
the music industry, was it? But then they have been demonstrating
stupidity for quite a while now.
Not only have most people never heard of the format, but even for those
who know what they are talking about, you have to be

Yeah you need those magic WinDVD tools, a complete set of which can be
obtained by searching bittorren

I use yasa dvd ripper platinum to rip dvd audio to mp3 or wav. It works
very well.

If you'd like to send me a DVD-A disc I'd love to find out for you ;-)
I've only heard from someone who has used DVDshrink for backups but
have no personal experience with it except for movies. You can't go
wrong by trying since the software is free.

I'm hoping to be doing just this over the weekend (assuming my disks
arrive today).
I'm only interested in the stereo 96/24 tracks but I trawled the web
last night and got the relevent proggies ;) so I'm all set!!

Thank you for this thread. I have a copy of a New York Philharmonic
performance (DVD)and regretted not being able to play it on my main
system. The Imtoo Audio Ripper did a great job of pulling off a wav
file.

Are you talking about ripping Audio from DVD-V discs or extracting Audio
from DVD-A discs. If it is the former, then the options from the above
posters will work. If it is DVD-A, then I think it is designed to be
un-rippable (though I hear there may be some sort of complicated
workaround using Win
if you have a mac try mac the ripper...it is free
