Yes, they Dyns like a lot of power. I've heard the Countour 1.4's with a grunty valve amp before and although the mids and highs were fantastic, the bottom is a little slow and not nearly as defined as with my Lux. I find the Dyns to tend to the technical, and that's why I was thinking tubes might

I had a pair of similar Dynaudios a while back (same drivers I think). I used them with my 13W SET (!) It drove them, but not that happily - they always sounded a tad reticent to me, and I'm sure they should sound better. So while a DIY KT-88 might work, I might favour something with plenty of
