Yes. Of course, damping the space with bass treatments will have a
different effect to bass EQ. Each approach will have some effect both
in time and frequency response bu
Hi everyone,
I am the US distributor of XTZ Room Analyzer. I've been working on
putting up educational material on the different measurements on my
website in the Acoustics University section.
I'm also writing a white paper with another acoustician, Jeff Hedback,

These sorts of tools distinguish themselves by identifying time-based
issues e.g. RT60 and waterfall. Actually these are the issues I am
addressing first (for slightly intuitive reasons) rather than frequency
response. (And as an extra I hope FR will get better anyway when the
time-based issues ar
I use one , it has a great feature for me in that it suggests parametric
filters I can implement to tighten up bass response in my room. I use a
very good parametric equaliser (z-sys Rdp-1) in my system.

correction and want a great
It's actually the *XTZ* Room Analyzer, and IMHO, a wonderful tool.
However, I'm still learning how to interpret all the graphs (especially
the full range room response with RT60 calculations). It may not be as
sophisticated as some other room analyzer software, but for an
all-in-one-box solution

For me the XTC Room Analyzer consists of my copy (CD or vinyl) of XTC's
fantastic "English Settlement" album. The best tr
you don't need this stuff. Is the room finished yet?

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it

Sadly not. However, you can pick it up for about 150 pounds. That
includes the software and hardware.

I use it. It has been very useful figuring out the main problems I need
to address in terms of acoustics. For me, the next
Anyone used this ?
Any good ?
If it is, does anyone own it and live close to Poynton Cheshire ?
I'm skint following my room conversion!
