Is this SB3 is not as good as a Touch but neither of them have very good headphone out ? Some would say bad headphone out. So even if you get a Touch instead of the SB3 it leaves the headphone drive problem ? So DAC don't really have to be better than Touch only improve a bit on SB3 but provide

Thanks for the recommendations, all. I'm not quite ready to trade in my unit for a Touch as I'm using the wireless bridge function with my Blu-ray player. I haven't kept up with the latest Touch news, but last I heard, it lacks this capability. -- boolittlek --

The best sub $300 DAC for you is a Squeezebox Touch. The trick is, you're highly unlikely to improve your listening experience with a $300 DAC. You already have an equal DAC in your Classic. It would help us out if you explained the rest of your system, and room layout, treatments. -- SuperQ

First off, let me say that I am not an audiophile. But I would appreciate advice from those of you who are. I am looking to purchase my first standalone DAC for use with my Squeezebox Classic. One that also functions as a headphone amp would be nice (I currently have one of those cheap Bravo tu
