Today at 4:45 pm I had two American Crows and 1 Fish Crow in the same
tree near the bridge over the creek draining out of Shell Park. I
parked and watched the Fish Crow flying at the American Crows and
being thrown back down by the down drafts from the high winds from off

After a 5 hour hiatus, at least one of the longspurs is back. It flushed into
the edge of the corn stubble directly across from the deserted white house
(where Kory reported it earlier). It is where the corn stubble ends and grass
begins, about 100 m west of the road.

The two White-faced Ibises located near Goderich were relocated at 12:30 this
afternoon by Bonnie Fera and Deb Johnston. The birds were observed feeding in
the pond.
Directions: Hwy 21 north at the pond directly across from Market Road on the
east side.

Rotteau. A Yellow-throated Warbler has been visiting their feeder for four
days. I was there to see the bird this morning and it came to the feeder
about every ten minutes. Brad was very hospitable and is retired so may be

At approx 10:30 am today Jerry Ball found 2 Smith's Longspurs, 1 male near full
breeding plumage and a duller bird. Also seen by Ron Tozer, Mike Nelson, Ed and
Neeltje Leblanc and myself. Flew after 20 minutes and not yet refound. Were
seen east of Hillman Marsh on east side of Rd 21 about 300

I've been in contact with Bonnie Fera this morning, and she said that the
photos posted on Flickr are of the same bird, just different poses. There were
a pair of them at the location late yesterday afternoon. Early last night,
another local birder relocated and photographed them.
