Hi I think I know what's the problem: There's no support for your chip, 965GM, in i810 1.6.5! Your ubuntu log shows the last available i810 driver, 1.7.4, which has support, and so can continue. As for the version being one major number higher than the one with Xorg 7.2, this would usually mat
