GRUB. I am not sure, wether ``grub-install /dev/hda'' does its job, when
you have your linux file system hierarchy mounted on /mnt instead of
on /, but the GRUB shell does have the setup command, too.

When the client get more than one response to their bootp request, it
chooses the first one. If a server gets loaded, its responses usually
will be late.

You have to implement TCP for it. Since TCP is not that easy to
implement, I would suspect, is is easier to go for NFS, because it only
needs UDP, which is already implemented for TFTP.

I liked this build-in more very much and missed it a thousand times in
other OSes.
BTW, when I worked on SunOS3.5 with suntools, the suntools terminal
emulator had this feature, too. The cursor changed to a stop sign, when
the output was halted.

Is the size of the file known prior to downloading it?
If yes, grub could have a relative progress indicator, e.g. 50 chars
wide, each chars for 2% of the download.
It shpould be possible to implement this progress indicator without
having to use /r or /b.
73,
the system nor grub are self-compiled, so I have no idea, what patches

I did program etherbot into the FLASH rom of the intel NICs several
times. These cards work perfectly fine with etherboot.

creates a device mapping file, which contains the mapping e.g.

Tom should look into his /etc/lilo.conf. He will find an entry called

So, my vote is for removing the cls() calls and leting the menu clear

messages and the user wants a menu. Perhaps a 'hotkey' could be used to
suppress the menu.

Since linux does not require the mem= parameter anymore, will the
option be reversed some time in the future (renamed to -mem-option)?

So the error message must be a bug in grub.
I had several situations, where grub did not recognize extended
partitions. It seems, to get full functionality of grub, the partitions
have to be primary partitions.
