A postdoctoral position is available for highly motivated applicant in the field of chemokine receptor (GPCR) structural biology that includes complexes with chemokines and small molecule ligands. Applicants should have experience with membrane protein biochemistry, GPCR expression, purification, and a strong background in crystallography. The applicant will work in a collaborative team that involves mouse models of receptor-mediated disease, the design of chemokine variants that are antagonists, and high throughput screening for small molecule ligands. Additional information on the laboratory’s research is available at http://medicine.yale.edu/lab/lolis/, and X-ray and biophysics resources can be found at http://medicine.yale.edu/ccmi/xray/ and for the high throughput screening facility and medicinal chemistry at http://ycmd.yale.edu/.
This position is funded by a T32 NIH grant. Consequently, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents with a PhD (within the last year). The position is available July 1, 2015.
