We are seeking a highly talented and motivated protein crystallographer who is 
keen to work on a variety of scientific areas within a dedicated and 
enthusiastic industrial environment. The successful candidate will be a key 
member of the crystallography team, with exciting opportunities to participate 
in multiple projects to support chemistry design throughout R&D as well as 
external collaborations. Excellent oral and written communication skills and 
the ability to work in multi-disciplinary project teams are important for this 
position.
Responsibilities:

*        Provide guidance for construct design, expression and purification, 
resulting in proteins suitable for crystallography

*        Characterize proteins intended for crystallization and carry out 
crystallization trials, crystal optimization and structure solution for 
proteins and protein-ligand complexes

*        Effectively communicate results through presentations, e-mails and 
reports, and actively participate in structure-based design efforts

*        Maintain awareness of developments in the field of structural biology 
and broaden understanding of adjacent disciplines
A PhD in a structural biology related discipline is essential with demonstrated 
experience of soluble protein crystallography, from expression through to 
structure determination including relevant software as well as knowledge and 
ideally hands-on experience of membrane protein targets.
