Dear Jiri,
you probably won't lose any information with JPEG. Its compression is lossy,
but this does not mean that your image looses information!
TIFF is useful for printed media, but in most cases, PNG is a sufficient
equivalent for lossless comp

What you get out of mg is png. Depending for what you need it you might
want to have between 300 to 600 dpi. if you then do postprocessing in
corel you should go for tiff to avoid too much loss in quality due to
the compression.
