OK, just making sure the BBC didn't have two versions.
Coupling is what Friends and Sex in the City tried to achieve but
failed so miserably.

No. There was a short-lived American show with the same name, same

British show I'd seen (the one with the gift-wrapped dildo, if you

the American version of Coupling was physically and emotionally
painful to watch. I've decided not to risk exposing myself to that
same misery so I haven't seen any episodes of The Office (American

The American version sucks - I have never seen the British version, but
heard that it was good. The DVD's are on the NetFlix queue, but keep
getting pushed down by my wife - she has no faith in the Brit version
since we've seen the American one. :)

Holy crap, that show lasted that long?
IMHO, Scrubs (though a comedy) is a great example of tension. There's a
little tension, a little romance, then people move on and repeat the
pattern with someone else. And all that time, it's not repetitive or
frustrating. What a novel idea! Someone ca

Harm and Mac was so frustrating because they went 10 years without
consummating it. I know it's a good underline for the show, but come on,

I think House can pull it off regardless of the direction they go (whether
they bump uglies or not).
When the character of Vogel came onboard, and he and Dr. House were
clashing, my wife said, "you know the resolution is that Vogel's going to
get sick and House is going to cure him." I tho
Right, but if the tension is too frustrating, the shows are shit

I'm guessing it's difficult to write sexual tension without seeming
dreadfully formulaic. It's been done, done, and redone.
