It sounds like they may have installed the wrong springs. 320 lb springs are
not real heavy but if the springs are one or two inches longer than stock they
may never settle to a height you would like. You can always cut a coil off to
adjust the ride height, just don't use a torch to do it
Ryan, I'm running a 3.55 rear with a 700r4. Works real well with the OD. You
will not see a big difference between a 3.73 and 3.55. If you are running a non
OD trannie and highway driving is a major concern, consider a 3.08 or there
about. It would keep your 65 MPH R's below 3,000.

steel color. GM used a phosphate coating. Most people seem to paint them.
If you want the natural look try sandblasting them and paint with a satin clear

Herb, I'm not sure what is typical, but our cars came with 1 5/8" long studs
overall length. 1 3/8" protrude from the hub face out. At least that is what
my Elky and Tempest had originally.

John, I hope I didn't offend you with my " no silicone comments. That was
not my intention. Silicone is a bodyman's nightmare. In any form, spray or
adhesive in a tube in can cause major trouble to the guy that is doing a
repaint. It gets into the pores of the metal and defys you to get it out.
Man, don't use silicone. If you guys spent a week or two with me doing resto
work, you would never pick up another tube of silicone. I have spent many
hours digging that crap out of every imaginal part of an old car. Rebedding
a window is not hard. And butyl rubber is cheap stuff and the right w
Wipe it with wax and grease remover. I use Omni mx190 or PPG 330.
