google search results for the library location display open hours,
though, I'm not sure how many folks are actually clicking through to verify
our hours anyway. The horror!

Web Systems Librarian,
. It meets many business needs but doesn't integrate with our
other systems (documentation, etc.) and our software development workflow.
So we have some things we could be doing much better.

I've had luck twice so far with LinkedIn jobs - it costs money, but is
worthwhile. Maybe your University has an organizational account?
Second Kyle's recommendation for Craigslist, too. Lots of spam, though.
Also, local web user groups - Refresh, UXPA, Devjam, etc.

, but generally appreciate the overall
strategy to make the website more consistent and professional-looking. It
ain't the wild wild west anymore - our web content is both functional and
part of an overall communications strategy, and we need to treat it
accordingly.

Conveniently, the AMIA conference comes right on the heels of edUi, which
will be held in Richmond Nov 4-6. EdUi brings together web-folk in higher
ed, museums, libraries and archives. Early bird tickets are still available
- make a week of it!

Tagging on to this thread, a logistical question for the conference
planning group:
What's the layout of the audience space at UIC Forum - tables and chairs,
theater seating, etc. - and what'll the power situation be? Trying to
decide what kind of tech I need to bring.
thanks!
