Pete,
I've got some free time. I'm not a committer, but I'd certainly be willing

I've added an isInstanceOf method to the validate
class, as well as appropriate tests in ValidateTest. The patch is
attached. It was created using WinCVS 1.2, from the directory

Hi all,
Is there a reason Validate doesn't have an isInstanceOf method? I was thinking of
adding one.

P.S. I'm not a contributor, so does anyone have a pointer to the patch-submission
process?
I will be out of the office starting 08/12/2003 and will not return until
08/20/2003.
I am on vacation until the 20th. If it is urgent, please contact Greg
Chatham, otherwise I will respond when I return.

t I'm setting something, as opposed to getting the value. I think
requiring that usage might make things a bit clearer, perhaps deprecating
the old methodology. As for the mandatory vs. required battle, I have no
preference - they both state what they do in clear language.
