I can confirm this bug on 11.10 with unity, firefox 8. It occurs rather
frequently, playing around with window focus temporarily fixes the
problem until it reappears some time later. I don't need to suspend or
turn on the screen saver to have this bug occur.

contents of menus -- and this is rather unique when compared to most

I noticed that the problem only occurred when moving windows with my
MOUSE, not with my TOUCHPAD.

I seem to have stopped my Thunderbird menus from disappearing after
right clicking on them, after having this problem on Thunderbird and
sometimes Firefox for quite a while now. All I did was (in ubuntu
10.10) click on System-Preferences-Appearance-Visual Effects-None.
