Hi ! It seems the bug is partly fixed. In my case : Ubuntu 12.10, Nvidia proprietary drivers, up to date, when I open a fullscreen app on the second monitor, Unity dock & top bar do disappear, but they re-appear as soon as I click on something on the primary monitor. I partly worked around it by

Ah, I see. Maybe those driver will be fixed in the future. But shouldn't this VSync setting be available from the default Appearance manager ? (or at least in simple-ccsm which is the tool accesible from the Appearance preferences -> custom setting). Otherwise, only "advanced" users will see this.
