unity locks and compiz 100% cpu when clicking on Files from launcher
I'm also experiencing this.
If it helps someone, you can still use some keyboard shortcuts to launch
graphical programs from the started X session (i.e. Ctrl+Alt+t to launch a
terminal, and then run others from there).

Working with icons in the desktop with chromium minimized, I clicked in
the chromium icon on the left in order to raise it back but unity
disappeared. Changing to vt1 I saw the compiz crash in dmesg.

Yes, it's reproducible, but we need to be sure in which ubuntu component
is the problem. And well, it could be also solved by correctly spacing
the repetition of the print screen hotkey

Then that's a regression, I used to have hardware acceleration support
in this computer until the X upgrades in lucid.
I'm changing the bug report to reflect that, as it's not a compiz
problem anymore.
