This is quite easy to reproduce, so marking as Triaged. In Natty forward you just need to enable the Wobbly Windows plugin in CCSM. Pressing ESC is supposed to return the window to the location from which you started dragging it, whereas with the plugin enabled it just cancels the wobble (if any)

This was one of the first bugs I noticed when I started using Ubuntu back in Gutsi about 3½ years ago. I've finally got round to reporting it but it should be low priority because it doesn't make Ubuntu difficult to use (just a little glitchy), and it can't be bothering people too much as it seems
