No problem really. Just that if you build MDK rpms with the stock rpm,
it may not come out the same as with MDK's rpm. Just confirmi
I would like to know the same thing.

I'm trying to print some kword documents with embedded photographs. When
printing in kword, the print request menu does not show any printers,
although the file does print.
The bad news is the documents prints like it's got 8-but color on an Epson
Stylus Photo 870. The photographs look li

But this only works with Mandrake's rpm. I guess I should go look at
the patches applied by the rpm specfile in the Mandrake distro.

Hi
As most people already have seen on freshmeat there is a rpm capable apt
available. I know that urpmi does quite the same thing, but as I always say
it never wrong to have a choise. And the thing about apt is that it works on
both deb and now rpm, so if I go from a deb system to a rpm system I
Hi!
I think this would probably be interesting to ppl
on this list also...
Why are all text config tools linked so, that they
need X dependend stuff??? It is no use if I run drakxconfig and it want's some X
stuff installed. Then I have to install almost 50% of X files to get it
working..
Back in august an autmoated script was let loose on all of the cooker
packages, to fix (??) the requires / buildrequires fields. Could
something like this be done again?
These are the things that need to be addressed at this moment:
GConf-devel --> libGConf0-devel or libGConf1-devel
SDL-deve
If anyone has KMenuEdit could they send me the binaries?
thanks.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i remember having seen hdparm settings in rc.locale
or in mandrake.everytime script before (is 7.1, i think). Now i can't
find any 'hdparm' pattern in my entire etc directory, and everything
seems to be trigerred by lilo autotune=1 option at boot time. Is this
right ?
