There haven't been
the reports of problems with just ssh, but there's always a first time.
Larry, you can add Cygwin's sshd to the ZoneAlarm's blacklist. Indeed,
there's always a first time. :-(

those gibberish output.
After all, I'm really suspicious about that ZoneAlarm DLL. But I think I can
only purge it if I uninstall the firewall. Oh my.

I was exactly thinking about using Ethereal. However, I can't go much far on
that, since I don't know nothing about the protocol. I
vent happens when I gracefully stop the service via
"cygrunsrv -E sshd". It appears together with event "`sshd' service stopped,
exit status: 255".

Under FAT32 permissions seem to be always
-rw-r--r-- and drwxr-xr-x.
I'm stuck here. I was hoping that a complete reinstallation under NTFS
should solve the problem, but it was not the case.
Do you, or any other reader around, have any other tip?

The sad part is that I *had* used sshd in my machine about a year ago and
everything went fine. Now I'm trying to revive it and I'm having no luck at
all.

Also, I've tried the same tests on another computer, which has the same OS
and a FAT32 partition. No luck at all.
