I just recieved a nice 2CD set of the 1/23/88 Blues For Salvador Concert in trade and I absolutely love it! Garcia and Santana smoke on these jams and all the other musicians are great too. My question is - is this commonly circulated from one particular source? And if it is, does anyone know the equipment or geneology? It's what I consider a good, but not great quality,1988 audience recording. It seems mastered from cassette as it has a little hiss and its a little muddy at times, but overall the instruments and vocals are clear and its got plenty of low end. Its extremely enjoyable and a very high energy performance. My copy came without geneology information but otherwise matches perfectly to the JerrySite list. The guy I got it from didn't know. If anyone knows geneology or equipment, please let me know. Its a great show and Garcia was obviously loving it. Here's the information I have: --------------------------------- Jerry Garcia, Santana, Tower Of Power, etc Blues For Salvador Concert January 23, 1988 Henry J Kaiser Convention Center, Oakland, CA
