The md5sum for RC1 matched, no such luck with the daily build and the
install complained about CD errors.

stuck in "Installing hotplug".
Tried today 12/08/04 with rc2 and expert26: Success. I
think my records show I have always been successful
with expert26. Will advise.

Tried again this morning with linux26.
Result: Hangs in "Setting up Kernel-image".
Keyboard locked. Used the red button. There are no
logs in the /var/log dir: looked after booting from a
rescue disk.

Turns out the parameter is used on the reboot, so not
useful in my case.

Yesterday exchanged hdb for another older one.
Result: installer hangs in "loading components debian installer" and on
retry in "detecting filesystems" both with linux26.

This morning after leaving the system off I booted and one disk is gone.
I don't think it is the disk but the mobo or something.
