Manged to install with CSM enabled. None of the before mentioned

"-Wno-error=format-security" to the GNUmakefile. The package
successfully builds and links using GCC 5 with this change.
It looks like GCC 5 / gobjc 5 sets "-Werror=format-security" by default.

Inline function semantics have changed in the C11 standard, which causes
this build failure. Fixed by compiling with "-std=gnu89", until upstream
updates the source to comply with C11.

I have the same issues as described above in Jessie. systemctl is
incorrect about the startup state, and it does not run. I found that
installing from sid I could do the sudo -u elastic search manual start
and get it to start up with indexes in /var/lib/elasticsearch.
The ABI error which caused this original build failure appears to now
have been changed to a warning originating in /usr/include/xapian/version.h
It warns that the application is being built with a different compiler than
that which built the xapian library.
