Hi. Among all the changes you did in your fork, there is one which I did not adopt and also deserves an explanation, which is the one regarding gbp.conf. None of my packages actually "requires" gbp.conf. I don't need it, and Salsa CI does not need it either, so for me it's just noise. I prefer not to have such file. Related to this: I changed my mind about having a pristine-tar branch... I tried to avoid it when I started to use salsa, because I did not see the point. However, once that we have an upstream branch, the additional branch does not take too much additional space, it's really minimal, and in some cases where Salsa CI refused to find a suitable orig.tar.gz, the pristine-tar branch actually helped, so I now create the branch when I upgrade any package to a new upstream release (as in this case).
