Bug#1092927: libgnomekbd: unmaintained upstream; upstream repository is archived and read-only
On cinnamon there is a work in progress that will remove/replace use of libgnomekbd: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/pull/12758 I don't know when it will be ready, I haven't followed it well or tested it but that remake seems quite big to me and I suppose it might not be completed for the next version of cinnamon but it will take more time OpenPGP_signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

I didn't look at the code but I noticed that this week Debian MATE began including https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/matekbd-keyboard-display which uses the older fork of libgnomekbd, https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libmatekbd Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
