cool. i would read "simultaneously" as meaning that people should upgrade
to trixie, but keep the release-tracker4 from bookworm installed, install
r-t5, do the conversion and then remove r-t4, as opposed to doing the
conversion in bookworm

It isn't as simple as making a transitional package. If there are
customisations then they will need to be ported over. Upgrade instructions
are in the request-tracker5 package, and the description notes that it can
be installed simultaneously with request-tracker4.

I have followed the format used previously in bookworm[0]. But we could add
something like "Instructions on how to upgrade are in the request-tracker5
package, which can be installed simultaneously."

Cheers,
Andrew

Is there a reason that request-tracker4 was not made a transiitional
package depending on request-tracker5?
(if the answer is that something is incompatible, we should say what
and, ideally, link to how to migrate data etc)

Hey,

request-tracker4 and extensions targetting RT4 won't be in trixie. They are
replaced by request-tracker5. Can we please include words like the below in the
"Noteworthy obsolete packages" section:

request-tracker4 has been removed from trixie. Its replacement is
request-tracker5.

Cheers,
Andrew
