Bug#1118271: transition: opencascade

2025-12-03 Thread Tobias Frost
Hi,

Thanks Adrian for looking into it.
I'll remove the blobfish patches and do a test-upload to debusine.

Bug#1118271: transition: opencascade

Hi Drew,

feenox is still continuing to not build, still showing red at
https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-petsc.html
for now.

But in the end petsc has been able to migrate successfully to testing,
since feenox doesn't have debci tests that might otherwise fail in
testing. The problem is only with fresh feenox builds (in unstable).

In that sense Bug#1118271 is not actually blocking the petsc
transition of Bug#1121012, so I'm removing the block (and affects).

feenox is blocking the removal of the old hypre/petsc/slepc/superlu-dist
packages from testing (see the end of [1]). So in a way, that issue (whether a
regression in opencascade or not) is affecting those transitions.

Cheers,
Emilio

Both are caused by the remnants of the blobfish patches.

Yes, let's wait for vtk9 to migrate to testing. Feel free to ping us

once that

vtk9 has migrated.

Go ahead.

Uploaded.
Most archs are already built, except riscv64, which is still waiting for
its turn on a buildd.

Can you take a look at the freecad autopkgtest regression? [1]

Ping? This seems to be affecting feenox too [2], which is affecting the
scotch/petsc/slepc transitions.

Cheers,
Emilio

I'd like (maybe after the vtk9 transistion is done, as there is some
entanglement), to update opencascade to the latest upstream version
7.9.1.

As usually, this required a transition.

The transition tracker [1] correctly picked it up already after the
upload to experimental.

Reverse-Dependencies are all fine, I've rebuilt them locally:

Level 2:
f3d - ok
freecad - ok
horizon-eda - unrelated FTBFS, NMU pending, #1116331
  after NMU: ok
kicad - ok
librepcb- sid only, FTBFS with CMake4 (currently preparing a NMU for it)
  with fix: ok
mayo- ok
netgen - ok
slic3r-prusa- ok

Level 3:
gmsh- ok

Level 4:
deal.ii - ok
