If we can patch packages to work with v3 then I think this sounds good. I was worried that we may not be able to do that, and some upstreams seems to be stuck on v2. Let's try. I suppose this effort is stuck until golang-github-lestrrat-go-dsig leaves NEW though? I had a local v3.0.12 variant working, I'll diff your branch against it and see if I'm able to build your v3. I strongly prefer not to introduce a v2 or v3 version of this package -- we should just update the handful of affected packages together as a mini-transition. In addition to golang-github-lestrrat-go-dsig in NEW, updates to golang-github-lestrrat-go-options and golang-github-lestrrat-go-httprc will need to be uploaded at the same time. Package: golang-github-lestrrat-go-jwx Version: 2.1.4-1 Please upgrade this to v3. Most likely some reverse build depencies requires v2, so consider uploading https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-lestrrat-go-jwx-v2 and make all packages stuck on v2 use that one instead, allowing this package to move forward to v3.
