Alas, almost all the tests, of which there are 104 in total, fail.
Clearly a compiler issue, but more than that I cannot tell from the
output.

good and bad news:
good first: it compiles and you get .deb packages. i changed
debian/rules in so far that i did s/g77/g77-3.1/ at the arm
