When building grap 1.26-4.1 with g++ 3.4.X, it will suffer an ICE: g++-3.4 -Wall -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -c -o grap.o grap.cc g++-3.4: Internal error: Segmentation fault (program cc1plus) I have tested g++ 3.4.3-1 on i386, 3.4.2-3 on alpha and 3.4.2-3.0.0.1.amd64 on amd64 - all yields the same ICE. -ukh --------------------------------------- Received: (at 282463-done) by bugs.debian.org; 21 Dec 2004 11:02:32 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Dec 21 03:02:31 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from mailhub.id.cbs.dk [130.226.47.91] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1Cghmh-0007Qm-00; Tue, 21 Dec 2004 03:02:31 -0800 Received: from mail.id.cbs.dk ([172.16.14.53] ident=mail) by mailhub.id.cbs.dk with esmtp (Cipher TLSv1:AES256-SHA:256) (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 1CghmX-0000t5-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 21 Dec 2004 12:02:21 +0100 Received: from deskpro02.id.cbs.dk ([130.226.34.10]) by mail.id.cbs.dk with esmtp (Cipher TLSv1:AES256-SHA:256) (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 1CghmW-0006Sp-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 21 Dec 2004 12:02:20 +0100 Received: from ukh by deskpro02.id.cbs.dk with local (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 1Cghm2-0008V2-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 21 Dec 2004 12:01:50 +0100 Date: Tue, 21 Dec 2004 12:01:50 +0100 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: close 282463 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040907i From: Kaare Hviid <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Scanner: exiscan *1CghmX-0000t5-00*iOVSed1VeQk* Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: close 282463 thanks Using g++ 3.4.3-6, the ICE is gone when building grap 1.26, at least on the platforms I have access to. (grap 1.26 still fails to build, but the compiler no longer suffers ICE - rather it prints a nice error message about bad code. For those in need of grap on a 3.4 system, the latest upstream release of grap (1.32) is fixed.) -ukh
