Just a "me too" report. I just updated my machine with the testing
distribution and got the following.
$ man gcc
man: warning: /usr/share/man/man1/gcc.1.gz is a dangling symlink
No manual entry for gcc
See 'man 7 undocumented' for help when manual pages are not available.
gcc-doc depends on gc
In theory gcc-doc has been dropped from gcc-defaults 1.41; in practice,
however, this was done *without* removing the references to the package from
debian/control, which means gcc-doc is still referenced by the archive
database, and the ftp team's tools don't pick this up as a candidate for
binary

The version of gcc-doc in sid currently depends on gcc-4.1-doc, which
doesn't exist. This makes the package uninstallable, and leaves users
with no manpages for gcc.
For whatever reason, reportbug isn't letting me report this -- the
messages seem to disappear
