Actually I installed Debian by dd'ing the rescue.bin onto one of the small hard
drives, then using a SCSI zip to create the root filesystem out of root.tgz.
Then I specified the root= parameter in the SILO prompt. It took me months to
figure all that out :-)
But the transceiver _appears_ to work

I recently installed potato on an ELC with all the standard stuff (not much
choice with an all-in-one :-) ). In preparation to use it as a ipmasq firewall
(in retrospect a bad idea since serial port speed is a meager 38400) I got a
10BaseT transceiver for the AUI output of the AMD lance onboard ca
