I don't know whether gpm continually showing "estimating" when upower is
giving it null information is a *bug* or not, but the fundamental
problem is a bug in upower, not a bug in gpm.
upower-0.9.5 incorrectly gives null battery runtime information when it
can't get a electrical current
Either way, the new functionality should be documented.
In the plugins section of the gedit docs on Lucid, the Indent Lines
plugin is still there, and still says to use Edit->indent, and in the
"shortcuts" help, says ctrl-T to indent lines.

I spoke too soon. The newer version has caused problems. Not least of
which almost 100% CPU usage, an endless supply of new windows being
created in the task bar, and for loads of packages to report broken
dependencies meaning I can't upgrade anything else using the usual
methods (Synaptic, apt-get

previously had the Netbook Edition installed at 10.04 and then
subsequently removed it before I upgraded to 10.10... Turns out that I

Issue still exists in Ubuntu 10.04.
Trying to print pdf from Evince or Okular is displayed in the print queue, and
the printer displays "processing...".
But nothing is printed.
I have tried both Foomatic and BR-Script3 driver for my Brother HL-1870N

I'll check out the guest session thing in a bit. As for the software, it turns
out I have 2 affected computers and one that is not.
I ran "dpkg --get-selections" on all three. Then, I found which
packages the 2 affected computers had in common and
Switching to tty2 and running "/usr/lib/libconf-2-4/gconf-sanity-
check-2" produced a bunch of errors. One of which was that
"/usr/local/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.default" could not be created.
Running: "sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.default" solved
the issue for me.
The strange thing is
Comparing the .xsession-errors between computers that have the problem
and those that don't didn't yield anything. All seem to have a few
errors in common, but there is no error that only shows up in the
affected computers.
Does anyone know what exit status 256 of gconf-sanity-check-2 indicates?

No, it is not a duplicate. The steps to reproduce them are completely
different, and I can't reproduce #407547, but this particular bug
happens every single time.

+1 for fixing this: the cursor is also unresponsive for these initial
few seconds after the password dialog appears. Not a show-stopper, but a
certainly a paper cut :) I only started seeing this after upgrading to
Karmic.

It doesn't happen to me either, and this is on a fresh install of
Karmic.I'm checking on a fresh install of 9.04 to see if I can
confirm it was a issue with just that image and it's since been fixed.

CBC Recently changed their network feeds for live audio, as a result the
default feeds in Rhythmbox need to be updated.
I'm not sure what the standard timezone to pick is when there are multiple
timezones available, but the CBC Radio Pacific

Was this report filed with the machine operating off battery or mains
power? The debug info suggests the latter... Would be interesting to
see the dump whilst the machine is operating off battery power to
confirm the problem.

Is this still a problem? Certainly on my netbook for both 9.10 and the
alpha 2 10.04, my screen dims correctly on battery power if I leave the
keyboard and mouse unattended for a short period of time i.e. when
