The easiest workaround for this bug I've found is to uncheck "Enable Networking" on the network dropdown, wait a few seconds, and pick "Enable networking". This seems to reliably toggle the missing entries back onto the menus, both wifi and VPN. I see this on multiple ubuntu boxes, particularly s
