Turns out my problem is a maven classpath issue of some sort interacting
with the GUI builder. The problem is brought on by my use of

But installer linux and windows are available during beta phase for early
testing.
They are generated from NetBeans source code that should be modified before
calling a release (and we propose the installer later so maybe hard to have a
last minute change workflow)

minor issues:
- Installer window text doesnt play nice with a dark OS theme (light grey
text on white background)
- Default JDK location is /usr so the use always have to click the list box
once to make netbeans run after install.
Should I document those issues in jira?
