Sometimes (rarely) we see the following Exception in the Stratos logs, while
troubleshooting errors. Specifically, we’ve seen this in logs of runs where
cartridges haven’t been started up at all or where terminated cartridges have
not been recognised as inactive, both of which are pretty ba

I’m looking at an issue with Stratos 4.0.0 code, and I’m having an issue with
the cartridge agent. It complains about the topology being inconsistent,
triggered by this code [1].
This causes the extension handler not to fire for cartridges going down.

Yes, I tried both mvn clean install and mvn dependency:resolve, using 2
internet connections, neither worked.

I was looking through the API docs for 4.0 and 4.1

If Stratos, or any component it relies on, fails, and eventually returns to
service, Stratos should "orchestrate" the cloud back to the desired state. If
any cartridges went missing and after some time T (post failure) Stratos hasn’t
re-discovered them, they should be respawned.

Hi all,
Basically, I was stopping and starting Stratos and looking at how it handled
dying cartridges, and found that Stratos only detected cartridge deaths while
it was running..
The problem
In steady state, I have some cartridges managed by Stratos,
