So what's the status of CMake support? I had an impression that CMake is
able to build the compiler and the c++ library at least (that's what I've used
to compile thrift compiler on

These changes improve the project files, but do not fix it completely. There
are more files to be removed and some files to be added.
I'd suggest removing visual studio solutio
