Thanks Al for raising the issue.
To clarify, I didn't say log switch should be "centralized" in System
app. It should be centralized in Gecko.
Gaia developers are specifically told not to use |console.log/error|
etc. for normal operations because it comes with performance penalty.
It sounds like

So over the last few weeks I have had various discussions with people about
"logging" (there are metrics and log like data and bunch of random stuff
across gecko/gonk/gaia that fit other names too) we really badly need sane
logging data that is reachable by some single source
Hi all,
I am sending this e-mail to start a discussion about current log mechanism. As
you might know that we have different ways to collect logs, most kinds of logs
need extra actions to enable them since performance issues. With more devices
and users, the issues reported may not always come
Hi everyone!
This is a friendly reminder about the Arabic / UI bug bash on Fx OS 2.1
that we're doing on August 26th, at 9am PST/5pm CET
This Bug Bash has been organized with the help of Arabic community, who
have put a lot of time and effort in helping with organization and

Just found out in IRC that the below link doesn't work. Here's a set of links
that I think should work:

One additional detail to add here - the definition of the smoketest suite
should represent the following:
* Tests that cause major functionality loss and render the phone significantly
unusable
* If these tests fail, then we need a 24 hour turnaround time from development
to resolve the smokete
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to get feedback on our current smoketest suite to see if there's
agreement or disagreement with the test cases currently included in the test
suite. Here is a link to the smoketest suite below:

You can backup the partitions from a working phone using 'dd' to dump

This is great to hear!
Do we need to let the MDN docs team / someone else know to update docs
about this for app developers, so they can learn about this new
ability? This seems like something that quite a few developers might
be interested in.
