Thank you for the clarification.

However, the changelog says "HTTP request headers" with no mention of
trailer headers specifically. Most users would reasonably interpret this
as applying to all request headers. Would it be possible to update the
changelog to clarify that this only applies to trailer headers?

I understand that backporting HttpHeaderParser into Tomcat 9 and 10 
would be a significant change, so a changelog correction would be 
sufficient.

Ok, the HttpHeaderParser was updated, but it is only used for trailer header
parsing. So technically the changelog only applies to trailing headers here.
